LIGHT UP! DESIGN SHOW - Online Gallery
Everything is material for me. I see the potential and appicability in organic waste, sugar, vegetables, yarn bits, newspaper, reclaimed wood and use my intensive exploration into material design to create something new.
My dissertation 'The bioindustrial revolution- Organic waste, biomimicry and vital design- divergent approaches to a new era of materials' allowed me a deeper understanding of materials, their components and the processes involved. The Light Up! Design show presents a collection of a variety of approaches: RECYLCED materials, BIODEGRADABLE/EDIBLE materials, CERAMICS, WOOD and PAPER.
